Traditional Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/World integration can be time consuming, expensive, and disruptive to business and IT operations. The EEA product was designed to address common obstacles encountered during Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/World integration projects, and streamline delivery of applications for production use.
The Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/World ERP exposes two (2) main external interfaces that can be used for application integration: F47 data tables and EnterpriseOne Business Services. The EEA product supports both interfaces, through the following features:
- F47-specific metadata import: The EEA product enables metadata management features in the EEI and EBI base products, for generation of internal F47 file definitions from database metadata. The EBI product also imports DTD’s, XSD’s and W3C v1.1 WSDL for documents that are sent and received using web services.
- EDI transaction examples: The EEA product contains sample EDI configuration objects for the following X12/JDE transaction combinations:
|

Users of the EEA for JDE product can use these object sets as “base” configurations and extend, as needed, to meet specific integration project requirements.
The EEA product includes the following items specifically developed for use in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/World integration projects:
- In EEI, a specialized program designed to utilize the J.D. Edwards Decimal Data Dictionary file – F9210 – to interpret and adjust all field-decimal conversions required for EDI translation.
- A Code Table (JDE_ADTRP), which is used to convert the Entity ID to the Address Type for incoming Purchase Orders (850 and 875 transaction sets). Users will need to maintain this table for the proper Standard (EDI) to Local (JDE) conversions.
- Implementation documentation: The EEA product includes Installation and User Guides, plus a full source / target cross reference for the EDI transactions listed above, including notes on specific message- and segment-level processing requirements.
