EXTOL EDI INTEGRATOR (EEI) FUNDAMENTALS
June 16 - June 20, 2008

This course teaches the fundamentals of EDI and the EXTOL EDI Integrator. It is ideal for those who will become the EDI Coordinator or run the daily EDI operations.

Starting with the basics of EDI and standards, this course works through all the fundamental steps for a successful EDI implementation using EXTOL EDI Integrator.

The course is a combination of lecture and hands on exercises to provide the optimal learning environment. Small course sizes offer individual attention as well as the opportunity to network and interact with other EXTOL EDI Integrator users.

Course Objectives. At the end of this five-day course, the student will be able to:

Understand the basics of EDI and how this relates to the various standards
Establish a new Trading Partner setup
Create inbound maps from scratch
Run the daily inbound process
Debug an unwrap error
Create outbound maps
Run the daily outbound process
Debug a translation error
Understand and use the many reports available in the system
Archive and Purge data in the system

Use the advanced auto-mapping facility to eliminate many manual mapping step


Prerequisites. The prerequisites for the Basic EXTOL Integrator course are:

Completion of EXTOL EDI Integrator Tutorial
Basic experience using AS/400 or Windows

EEI ADVANCED TOPICS

This Advanced EXTOL EDI Integrator course is for experienced EXTOL Integrator users who want to take advantage of the product's rich, advanced features. The course is a combination of lecture and hands on exercises for an optimal learning environment. Small course sizes offer individualized attention.

Course Objectives. At the end of this two-day course, the student will:

Understand how advanced communications topics such as FTP affect the environment
Understand when it makes sense to use External File Lookups and how to set them up
Understand when it makes sense to use Formulas and how to set them up
Know how to establish Auto Routing for process integration
Know when it is necessary to perform Application Conversion and how to do it
Be able to identify and utilize User Trading Partner Exit Points
Understand Trading Partner Message Class Options
Be able to implement advanced Code Table Utilities

Prerequisites.
Students who wish to attend this course should have the following:

Previous attendance at an EXTOL Integrator Basic course
Minimum 6 months experience using EXTOL Integrator

Strong programming background is helpful

EXTOL BUSINESS INTEGRATOR (EBI) FUNDAMENTALS
June 2 - June 6, 2008
July 21 - July 25, 2008

This class teaches the fundamentals of the EXTOL Business Integrator including EDI Services. It is ideal for those who will be involved in any integration projects.

The class is a combination of lecture and hands on exercises to provide the optimal learning environment. Small class sizes offer individual attention as well as the opportunity to network and interact with other EXTOL Business Integrator users.

Objectives: At the end of this five-day class, the student will be able to:

  • Import and Create Schemas of different types including XML, Database, Flat File and EDI Standards
  • Build Transformation Rulesets utilizing system and custom actions
  • Automate Operations with Business Process Scripts and Business Process Script Templates
  • Implement Listeners and Events
  • Create and Maintain EDI and Appication Endpoints and their associated Collaborations
  • Monitor Activities
  • Archive/Unarchive necessary objects

EXTOL SECURE (ESX) FOR AS2 FUNDAMENTALS
Self paced training

This course provides the fundamentals of AS2 and EXTOL Secure (ESX). It is ideal for those responsible for AS2, the EDI Coordinator, or those who run the daily EDI operations.

The Self Paced e-Learning format starts with the basics of AS2, and works through all the fundamental steps for a successful AS2 implementation using EXTOL Secure.

Your company will have access to the training materials for 30 days, allowing for multiple users to learn ESX, and a 30 minute Q&A session with a Trainer.

Course Objectives. At the end of this course, the student will:

Understand the basics of AS2
Configure ESX
Create, Export, and Import Keys and Certificates
Establish a new Trading Partner
Run the daily inbound processes

Run the daily outbound processes

Debug an error
Understand and use the logs available in the systems
Integrate ESX with the other EXTOL products

Basic experience using the EXTOL EDI Integrator or the EXTOL Business Integrator

EXTOL DATA SYNCHRONIZER (EDS) FUNDAMENTALS
for the IT USER

Self paced training

This class teaches the fundamentals of the EXTOL Data Synchronizer (EDS). It is intended for technical users who are responsible for installation, configuration, integration, and support aspects of the Data Synchronization Projects.

Your company will have access to the training materials for 30 days, allowing for multiple users to learn ESX, and a 30 minute Q&A session with a Trainer.

Course Objectives.

Understand the configuration of the EXTOL Data Synchronizer
Create EBI objects used for Backend Integration
Import Data
Understand the Message Types and Workflow
Monitor Activities, including error handling

Perform Administrative tasks, such as Creating Users
