EXTOL Secure for Linux

New Release of Secure Includes
Support for Red Hat Linux and Greater Security Control

POTTSVILLE, Pennsylvania, April 27, 2007 – EXTOL International, a leading provider of integration software for both B2B and enterprise collaboration, announced today the availability of Release 5.3. of EXTOL Secure. The highlights of the release include new features and enhancements enabling wider deployment, more flexibility and new levels of security and control.

With this release, EXTOL Secure is now supported on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 platform, in addition to IBM System i5OS V5R3 or higher, and Windows XP, 2000 and 2003. Security has been enhanced through improved user authentication and certificate validation. Integration to EXTOL Business Integrator and EXTOL EDI Integrator also have been enhanced.

The Drummond Group, an independent company that conducts and publishes interoperability and conformance testing, certified EXTOL Secure for AS2 compliance and interoperability with other AS2 products. Interoperability enables Secure users to conduct e-business communications with any new or existing trading partner that uses an AS2-compliant product.

EXTOL Secure applies advanced encryption, authentication and nonrepudiation methods to protect applications, private keys and unencrypted data from external tampering. “It was specifically designed to avoid well-known security exposures inherent in solutions based on the HTTP protocol,” said O’Leary. “And it fits easily into any environment without the need to modify network infrastructure.”
