Anthony Baran

Anthony Baran
President & CEO

Anthony (Tony) Baran is a co-founder of EXTOL International, Inc. He has been President and Chief Executive Officer of EXTOL since it was established in 1989. Prior to forming EXTOL, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Model Garment Company, a 600 employee private label sportswear manufacturer. Mr. Baran frequently speaks on business technology issues and Electronic Commerce related topics for organizations such as COMMON (the IBM midrange user group) and other business groups. He is a director of the Empire Education Group, and a licensed communications engineer. Active in civic and business affairs, he is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Schuylkill Technology Incubator, and a member of the board of directors of Schuylkill Health System, a former Director and Officer of the American Apparel Manufacturers Association, the AAMA Technical Advisory and Apparel Research Committees, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation and a member of the Schuylkill County Airport Authority. Mr. Baran is a 1972 graduate of Lehigh University.

 

Jack Byrne

Chief Financial Officer

Jack Byrne joined EXTOL in 2004 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining EXTOL, he served in a succession of senior finance positions with the Sara Lee Corporation from 1981 through 2004, including ten years of international experience and a three year assignment as Chief Financial Officer as well as Global Business Practices Officer of a $100 million division. He received a BS in Accounting from Bentley College in 1979 and an MBA from the University of Connecticut in 1983.

 

Reeve Fritchman

Reeve Fritchman
Chief Strategy Officer

Reeve Fritchman joined EXTOL in 2012 as Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to joining EXTOL, he served as Chairman and Chief Software Architect of Transportation Technology Group, Inc. and Ayers Rock Software LLC. He is the author of LTL/400 and AgiliTrans, two iSeries-based enterprise-scale transportation management systems installed at transportation providers throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to designing complex business applications, he’s also consulted on data migration, legacy system upgrade, software quality assurance, and Cloud adoption projects. He has worked at IBM Corporation and Microsoft Corporation. Mr. Fritchman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University in 1972 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1974. He holds several professional certifications, including PMI’s “Project Management Professional” (PMP®) and IEEE’s “Certified Software Development Professional” (CSDP).

 

Michael DeCosta

Michael DeCosta
Vice President, Sales

Michael DeCosta joined EXTOL in 1996 to help establish a Telemarketing Group. Prior to joining EXTOL, he managed the New York Times Telemarketing Department through Publishers Circulation Fulfillment. Mr. DeCosta’s expertise in telemarketing enabled EXTOL to establish a successful telemarketing campaign in lead generation and market awareness. He has held several management positions with EXTOL, starting in 2003 as the Manager of EXTOL’s Customer Accounts, Director of Sales in 2009, and currently holds the position of Vice President, Sales. Mr. DeCosta holds a BS in Communications in Online Work and Communities from Walden University.

 

Greg Inns

Gregory W. Inns
Vice President, Software Development

Gregory W. Inns joined EXTOL in 2001 as a Systems Analyst. For several years, he played a critical role in the design and development of EXTOL’s Business Integration platform, resulting in his promotion to Director of Java Development in January, 2007. Prior to joining EXTOL, Mr. Inns served in several technical consulting roles involving large scale, complex application development and integration projects across a wide variety of industries. Mr. Inns holds a B.S. in Computers and Information Systems from Bloomsburg University.

 

Troy Lunt

S. Troy Lunt
Vice President, Customer Services

Troy Lunt joined EXTOL in 1995 as Sr. Systems Engineer and immediately assumed the role of product trainer and implementation specialist. Mr. Lunt served a succession of positions with EXTOL prior to his promotion to Vice President of Services & Support in 2000. Lunt has managed the EXTOL Professional Services department through many years of considerable revenue growth. He has been an active participant in the electronic commerce software industry since 1989 and prior to EXTOL, managed an EDI consulting practice and also held a variety of technical and support positions for Premenos Corporation and Quadron Software. Mr. Lunt has given of his time as a speaker and educator for many conferences and training programs. Lunt received a B.I.S. in Political Science, Military Science and Sociology from Weber State University and served for a time as a Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army & National Guard.

 

Jim O'Leary

James F. O'Leary
Vice President, Product Management

James (Jim) O'Leary joined EXTOL in 2002 with over 20 years of senior and executive management experience in the software industry. Prior to joining EXTOL, Mr. O'Leary launched the B2B Product Marketing program at Mercator Software, where he held worldwide responsibility for planning, positioning, and delivery of B2B integration offerings. At Unidata / Ardent Software, O'Leary was responsible for worldwide Product Marketing and Strategic Marketing, where he led the integration of acquired product lines and Product Marketing organizations. Early in his career, O'Leary served in a succession of senior Product Management and Product Strategy positions at Software AG, during a period when the company enjoyed historic revenue growth and market success. Mr. O'Leary earned a BS from the University of Kansas in 1975.

 

Joseph Baran

In Memory of Joseph Baran

In memory of EXTOL co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Joe Baran, who passed away suddenly on August 14, 2011. Joe was a very visible and guiding force at EXTOL since the company's beginning, and his leadership, technical skills and passion were primarily responsible for much of the success that EXTOL has achieved. Joe will be sorely missed, but will forever remain an inspiration and example to his beloved EXTOL family.
